Community Support – Don’t Go Hungry
New Westminster Soccer Club Supports “Don’t Go Hungry: A Food Support Program”
This locally created initiative providing food support for local residents is a non-denominational, non-judgmental program, and is for anyone in New Westminster needing food support!
The program currently runs on Saturdays at the following locations:
- Aidan’s Presbyterian Church (1320 Seventh Ave) serving seniors and people with disabilities between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm, and everyone else from 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm
- At Knox Presbyterian Church (403 Columbia St. E) serving seniors and people with disabilities between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm, and everyone else from 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm
- Coming soon, with NWSC’s support, a location in Queensborough!
“After speaking with Rev. Laurie Deacon about her program, I knew this was a partnership that was meant to be. New Westminster Soccer Club values community and will go to great lengths to serve our members in whatever capacity possible. I want this relationship to illustrate what collaboration and genuine action can accomplish for the community of New Westminster”. Niko Marcina, Director of Coaching
We hope to involve as many NWSC members as possible through volunteering opportunities, special team challenges, and awareness events! NWSC will be announcing more as plans become available.
