More Details: Our “Soaring Stars” program involves 1-hour practices overseen by our program lead Michelle Murray and our program volunteers. We ask that parents arrive with their child/children at drop off and pick up to sign them in and out. Your child will require shorts or track-pants and runners to participate.
Who are Soaring Stars SUPERHEROES? Our Soaring Stars SUPERHEROES are volunteers who participate directly with individual players or help facilitate a group soccer environment in order to enable our athletes to be safe and have fun while they participate in soccer activities and games. Our SUPERHEROES are either assigned to individual players, assigned to run a station, or assigned to float and assist as needed. Any SUPERHERO assigned to individual Soaring Stars for a session and are tasked to stay “tuned-in” to their Star, to keep their Soaring Star motivated and active. They provide encouragement and facilitate social interaction with peers and other Soaring Stars!
Who can be a SUPERHERO? We recommend that all SUPERHEROES be at least 12 years of age. The Soaring Star SUPERHERO can be a skilled soccer player or have no soccer experience at all. If you have a desire to help our community members and fulfill their desires to be a part of our NWSC family, then this position is perfect for you! Contact the club manager, Karen Murray, if you are interested.
