New Westminster Soccer Club is supported by a large group of talented and dedicated volunteers. We’d like to take every chance we can to send a huge THANK YOU to the people who make such a big difference for our kids in the city we love!

Interested in Coaching?

New Westminster Soccer Club is looking for coaches for the upcoming Fall/Winter season. For those interested in being a head coach or assistant coach of a development or higher level team for the Fall/Winter season please apply by registering on-line by February 28th. For anyone looking to coach a house team or bronze team, please feel free to apply at any time.

If you are currently coaching at the club and plan on returning next season, you will still need to register here.

Coach Selection: For U11 and U12 development teams and all U13 to U18 teams, coaching selection will be completed by the end of March (in most cases).

For U5 to U10, and U11 and U12 house teams, coach selections will likely happen in the summer when those teams are being formed.

Criteria for selecting Coaches: A Coach Selection Committee, appointed by the Club Executive, will select the head coach based on any or all of these criteria:

We realize that parents, especially those with sons or daughters at the youngest age groups (U5 to U7), may not have any coaching experience. We encourage all parents to get involved, even those who are new to the game.

In cases where there is competition for head coaching positions, the Coach Selection Committee may conduct interviews.

Assistant Coaches & Team Managers: No formal application is required for these positions; however, all assistant coaches and team managers are required to register online for the Fall/Winter season. Assistant coaches & team managers are not normally placed until after the player selections and teams are formed.

Criminal Record Check: All volunteers and club staff are required to have a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) on file with the club’s Risk Manager. See “Criminal Record Check for volunteers” below for more details on how to complete a CRC, or, email the club’s risk manager riskmanager.nwsc@gmail.com
